Meet Bobbie at Bodyology Massage & Bodywork

Bobbie graduated as a Licensed Massage Therapist from Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage in 2022. She has 18 years of experience as a paramedic and firefighter, working in both Northern Virginia and locally. She is also a Yoga Instructor and was a peer fitness trainer during her time with the fire department.

Bobbie has a dedication to working with her hands to heal the sick and injured as well as prevent injury and maintain health and wellness. She works closely with her clients and patients to develop treatment plans that best suit their needs and accommodate their schedules. Bobbie specializes in outcome based medical massage and currently works with veterans and civilians to create treatment and maintenance plans to suit their individual needs.

Along with offering massage, she also teaches yoga 2 to 3 days a week in Remington at Sage & Stone Apothecary. Available classes are Hatha yoga (a gentle yet invigorating yoga that is for all bodies), Yin yoga (a yoga that is excellent for your ligaments and tendons), and Restorative yoga. This type of yoga is excellent for destressing your day or week, allowing gravity to gently pull your body back into alignment while you rest and restore.

Bobbie is currently continuing her studies by attending the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine where she is working towards obtaining her Master’s and Doctorate in Oriental Medicine. She plans to become an Acupuncturist and Herbalist by 2027 or sooner.
